Present or Continuous

Present: I am tall – fixed state

Present continuous: He is walking to the shop. – changing state

More examples of the present tense.

I like dogs.

You play well.

She is small.

The room is big.

Continuous tense (present participle)

We are playing.

The car is driving slow.

Shhh! We are watching the movie!

We take the verb and add -ing

watch -> watching

eat -> eating

sleep -> sleeping

stream -> streaming

If the word ends in e, we omit/leave out the e to make the word easier to read

debate -> debating (looks much better than “debateing” right?!)

take -> taking

bake -> baking
